As part of my Digital Marketing course at Marquette University, I participated in a consulting competition where my team created a marketing strategy for Calypso, a popular lemonade brand. My role as the Personas Lead focused on analyzing customer data and developing detailed personas to guide the project.
To create the personas, I analyzed demographic, psychographic, and geographic data to identify Calypso’s key customers. I looked at preferences, habits, and what influenced their purchase decisions. These personas played an important role in the final report by guiding my team’s strategies to better connect with the target audience.
My teammates also had specific roles that helped bring the project together. Kallie Krueger led the content strategy, Peter Mobarak worked on the influencer strategy, and Luke Bertone handled the planning strategy. We worked collaboratively to make sure the project met Calypso’s goals and connected with its audience. This competition gave me hands-on experience identifying trends and patterns, working with a team to brainstorm content ideas and strategies, and understanding how to create effective strategies for real-world brands.
